April 27 – May 20 at the Lyric Opera House
CHICAGO (4/18/2018) Ticket holders for the spring performances of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at the Lyric Opera House have the super-convenient option of dining right at the opera house before experiencing this unforgettable show.

Lyric operates three exceptional onsite restaurants that will be open exclusively to ticket holders for most performance dates of Jesus Christ Superstar: The Sarah and Peer Pedersen Room on street level, The Florian Opera Bistro on the third floor, and The William B. and Catherine Graham Room on the second floor. 

Onsite dining maximizes enjoyment and convenience for singles, couples, families, and groups of friends. Here’s what you need to know about each restaurant.

THE SARAH AND PEER PEDERSEN ROOM
  • Also known as The Pedersen Room Restaurant, this is a perfect upscale dining option for your evening or afternoon at Lyric.
  • The sophisticated menu is by Jewell Events Catering, with the wine list curated by Master Sommelier Alpana Singh. (Full beverage service also available.)
  • Service is prix fixe – $39 for choice of soup or salad, choice of "Beginnings" course and choice of "Entrées" course; desserts and beverages are à la carte. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.
  • A special signature entrée has been created by Featured Chef Ricardo Jarquin of Travelle Kitchen & Bar at The Langham for Jesus Christ Superstar performances: Pan seared sable fish with roasted beets, zucchini, crème fraîche , and smoked trout roe, available for $44

  • Reservations are required for this elegant street-level restaurant.
  • Seatings will be at 5:30pm for 7:00pm evening performances and 12:00pm for 1:30pm matinee performances. Please note that The Pedersen Room will be CLOSED on Sunday, May 6 and Friday, May 11.       

FLORIAN OPERA BISTRO
  • This charming casual-chic European-style bistro offers an appealing menu of updated classics by Jewell Events Catering, with the wine list curated by Master Sommelier Alpana Singh. (Full beverage service also available.)
  • Service is à la carte, with menu selections ranging from $6.95 to $16.95. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.

  • Reservations are suggested and walk-ins are accepted at the bistro, on the third-floor "dress circle" level of the opera house.
  • Seatings start at 5:30pm for 7pm evening performances and 12:00pm for 1:30pm matinee performances. Please note that the Florian Opera Bistro will be CLOSED on Sunday, May 6, and will open at 6:30pm on Friday, May 11, when the performance starts at 8:00pm.

THE WILLIAM B. AND CATHERINE GRAHAM ROOM
  • This luxurious private donors’ dining room will be open for dining and cocktail service for Jesus Christ Superstar ticket holders on selected dates. The special menu is created by Calihan Catering, with a world-class wine list and full beverage service.
  • Service is prix fixe – $56 for an elegant two-course meal, with a variety of à la carte options for light dining and dessert.

  • Seatings will be available on the following dates at 5:00pm for evening performances and 12:00pm for afternoon performances: Sat., April 28; Sun., April 29; Thur., May 3; Fri., May 4; Sat., May 5; Thur., May 10 (open for matinee beverage service and post-matinee/pre-evening performance dining only); Sat., May 12; Sun., May 13 (Mothers Day); Thur., May 17 (open for matinee beverage service and post-matinee/pre-evening performance dining only); Fri., May 18; Sat., May 19; and Sun., May 20.

All three restaurants will be open for Mothers Day on Sunday, May 13, offering perfect settings for memorable family celebrations.

In addition, Lyric's champagne bar, Cheers!, will be open for all performances, and drinks may be pre-ordered for intermission at all of Lyric's lobby bars. Drinks ordered in Lyric souvenir cups may be enjoyed at your seat during the performance.
